The Seamus Heaney Centre

The Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s began producing short films at the start of the first lockdown in 2020, to replace the readings, launches, and conversations that would have formed part of their live literary events programme. Together with colleagues at QFT, they have brought new writing by students, staff, Fellows and friends to international audiences.

The Seamus Heaney Centre is the home for Poetry and Creative Writing at Queen’s, embracing as Seamus did in his writing lifetime, playwriting, prose, translation and song, as well as poetry criticism and practice.
