Living Beings Pt.2 is a song and video by Lean Logic, and the third single to be taken from their album, The Last Mirage.
Lean Logic is a collaboration between Queen’s University alumnus Nick Carlisle (Peepholes/Bamboo/Katy And Nick) and Rose Keeler-Schäffeler (Keel Her). Their debut album, The Last Mirage, was recorded during the lockdown of 2020 and was released on Tim Burgess’ O Genesis Recordings in May 2021.
Nick Carlisle: “‘Living Beings Pt.2’ is my favourite track on the album and the mood of the song encapsulates the feeling of the whole of The Last Mirage for me, a mix of melancholy and hope in the face of uncertain times, against a backdrop of blistering heat.”
Rose Keeler-Schäffeler: “The song is primarily about the leaders and people in positions of power who are chronically ignoring the destruction of the planet, very much concealing the severity of this from the mass public, hanging on when deep down they know how it will end. Not that they’re ever going to hear it, but it gets a little of that anger and despair out.”
